
Badgers set for Big Ten semifinal showdown with top-seeded Washington

Wisconsin looks to continue its postseason run after a dominant 3–0 win over Iowa.
SAINT LOUIS, Mo.- The No. 5 Wisconsin women's soccer team continues its postseason journey, advancing to the semifinal round of the Big Ten Tournament. The Badgers will face top-seeded Washington on Thursday, Nov. 6 at 3 p.m. (CT) at Energizer Park in St. Louis. The match will air on Big Ten Network.

1. Big Ten Tournament History
Wisconsin has qualified for the Big Ten Tournament every season since 2011, capturing the most recent tournament title in 2015. The Badgers have claimed four Big Ten Tournament championships overall, with their first coming in 1994.
In last year's first-round match up, Wisconsin fell 1-0 to 10th-seeded Ohio State, with the Buckeyes scoring in the 79th minute. Goalkeeper Drew Stover earned her career-high seven saves in the match.
2. Regular Season Recap
The Badgers finished the regular season fifth in the Big Ten standings with 20 points, posting a 6-3-2 conference record and a 12-4-2 overall mark.
Wisconsin spent multiple weeks in the national rankings, climbing as high as No. 15. The Badgers notched signature wins over three top-10 opponents - No. 8 Penn State, No. 8 Iowa, and No. 9 UCLA - with the victory over the Bruins marking the program's first-ever in the series.
3. Scouting Washington
The top-seeded Huskies advanced with a 1–0 win over Illinois in the quarterfinals. Washington finished atop the Big Ten with 26 points, dropping just one conference match all season.
When the two teams met earlier this year, Washington bested Wisconsin 1–0 on a penalty kick.
4. Last Time Out
Wisconsin dominated in the first round of the tournament defeating Iowa 3-0.
Adee Boer opened the scoring in the 11th minute off a feed from Ella Ottey, while Brooke Allen and Taylor Gordon added goals in the second half.
