A THIRD (STRAIGHT) CHARM
Bucky looks to win their third-consecutive holiday tournament, and fourth in the last five years. UW is now 10-1 in holiday tournament games since 2021. The Badgers seek an eighth holiday tournament crown since 2005 on Friday, with all seven of the prior squads making the NCAA Tournament in their respective campaigns. Wisconsin is 33-13 (.717) since 2005 in November tournaments.

POINTS ON POINTS ON POINTS
Following a 104-83 win over Providence on Thanksgiving Day, the Badgers are now 5-1 on the season, and 10-1 in holiday tournaments since 2021. Their 104 points were the most in a non-conference matchup since a 105-70 win over Eastern Illinois on Dec. 28, 1995. It also matches the most points UW has ever scored against a non-Big Ten high-major school, tying their 104-84 win over Georgia Tech on Dec. 28, 1963.
Thursday marked UW’s 19th straight win when scoring over 90-points, and notched the third-highest scoring average through six games in program history (91.2 PPG).

IN THE NICK OF TIME
Badgers Nick Boyd is coming off of a career performance after posting 36 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in the 21-point win over Providence. It marks the first time that Boyd has posted 30+ points in a game and his 36 points are tied for the 14th most in school history.
On the season Boyd leads the Big Ten Conference with 22.0 points per game.

AGAINST TCU
This marks the first-ever meeting between the Horned Frogs and Badgers.
The Horned Frogs enter the championship at 4-2, defeating No. 10 Florida, 84-80, in the other Thursday semifinal. Jace Posey dropped a game-high 21 points, while point guard Brock Harding notched a 19 point, 12 assist, double-double. David Punch added 19 points to round out the Frogs’ “Big 3.”
UW went 2-1 last year against teams from the Big 12, including wins over No. 9 Arizona and a win over UCF at the Greenbrier Invitational.
