MADISON, Wis- The Wisconsin women's soccer team claimed the 500th win in program history with a 1-0 victory over Minnesota on Sunday. The victory gave the Gophers their first loss of the season and extended the Badgers unbeaten streak against Minnesota to an impressive 13 straight games that dates back to 2013.Â
How it Happened
First Half
Celebrating Senior Day at McClimon Soccer Complex, the Badgers were relentless to begin the first half.
Peighton Steffen netted her first of the season in the 15
th minute off an assist from
Erin Connolly.

At the half, Minnesota was leading (6-3) in shots and corners (4-2), while the Badgers lead in shots-on-goal (1-0).

Second Half
Possession remained equal through the beginning of the second half.
However,
Drew Stover claimed back-to-back saves in the latter half of the game.
With this win, Stover earned her third clean sheet of the season.
