MADISON, Wis. –
The No. 6 Wisconsin men's hockey team continues its three-weekend home stand at the Kohl Center with a Big Ten match-up against the Ohio State Buckeyes on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 1-2. Friday's game begins at 7 p.m., while Saturday's 'Goalie Night' game is an 8 p.m. puck drop.

Here's six quick things to know before tuning in:

Rosters: Badgers || Buckeyes

1 - A PERFECT DEBUT:
On Saturday night, goaltender William Gramme made his NCAA debut, posting a 25 save shutout to push Wisconsin past Alaska Anchorage to split the series.

The freshman from Stockholm, Sweden made multiple highlight reel saves, including a "simply amazing" sprawling catching glove stop early in the third period.

Gramme's performance made him the first Badger to post a shutout in his collegiate debut since Jack Berry blanked Northern Michigan on Nov. 5, 2016. Bernd Bruckler (2001), Jim Carey (1992) and Wayne Thomas (1968) have also all accomplished the feat.

2 - WHITE HOT WHITELAW: Forward William Whitelaw played a key role in Saturday's 5-0 win, scoring two goals for his first career multi-goal game.

The freshman brought the Kohl Center to its feet nine minutes into the first period with his first goal, which would serve as the game-winner.

Whitelaw continued to impress, with his second tally scored on a short-side, bar-down shot to extend the Badgers' lead to three goals in the second period.

3 - WALKING IN A GOALIE WONDERLAND: This series is the second of three straight weekends of home games to round out the winter semester schedule of Wisconsin hockey. The Badgers hosted Alaska Anchorage last weekend and will welcome Penn State on Dec. 8-9.

UW will be running promotions on both nights of the series versus Ohio State. On Friday, Dec. 1, the game will be Winter Wonderland themed to celebrate the start of the winter season. That includes a snow globe photo opportunity on the concourse.

Saturday, Dec. 2, serves as 'Goalie Night,' one of the six selected nights to honor the 75th season of Wisconsin men's hockey. Badger men's hockey is "Goalkeeper U"; from greats like Brian Elliott, Curtis Joseph, Marc Behrend, Jim Carey, Mike Richter and many more, and we will take a night to recognize all of our all-time great goaltenders and the only person to be a part of all six national championship teams, goaltending coach Bill Howard. A highlight of the evening will be the goalie mask walk where masks from all of your favorite Badger goalies will be on display in the concourse behind section 107. It is expected that 10-15 goaltenders from Badger history will be in attendance.

4 - CHECKING THE POLLS: The Badgers continue to secure a spot in the top-10 of the USCHO's men's hockey rankings with another week at No. 6. The team received 679 votes.

UW also checks in at No. 8 in the USA Today/The Rink Live Poll.

5 - SCOUTING OHIO STATE: Ohio State currently has a 5-5-3 record through its first 13 games of the season, including an 0-5-1 record in Big Ten play. The Buckeyes head into the weekend after sweeping Princeton at home, winning 6-3 and 4-3.

Sophomore forward Stephen Halliday leads the roster with three goals and 12 points. Junior Logan Terness is Ohio State's primary goaltender. Terseness has won five of 13 starts this season and has accumulated a .903 save percentage and an average of 3.08 goals allowed per game.

6 - HOW TO WATCH: Puck drop for Friday's game is set for 7 p.m. while Saturday's contest will begin at 8 p.m. Both games are available to stream live on B1G+ while audio play-by-play will be available on the Badgers app and The Varsity Network App. You can also follow along on X/Twitter and Instagram @BadgerMHockey.

OVERTIME - The Badgers will celebrate 'Wisconsin Night' on Friday, Dec. 8 during it's game against Penn State, then will hold its annual UW Teddy Toss presented by BMO on Saturday, Dec. 9, with fans encouraged to bring new stuffed animals to throw on the ice following the conclusion of the game.
