Head Coach Mark Johnson
On today's win:
"I like the overall effort, I thought we competed real strong. We did a nice job the last six or eight minutes of managing the puck and getting off the penalty and playing six on five. Whatever it was going to take to win the game is the mindset of the players after the last couple of weeks and where things have ended up."
On the team improving offensively:
"It was nice to see the puck go in. It was a difficult goal in which you have to be willing to go into those areas where you're going to get banged up and you have to track the puck for rebounds… it was nice to get a win."
Sophomore Lacey Eden
On moving on from the losing streak:
"We were in a slump for a little bit and I think the first step of ending that is just getting back into the win column. It was a gritty game and just being able to put a couple of goals in after we've been struggling and getting that win is what we need to be headed in the right direction for the rest of the reason."
