Badgers fall to Iowa State in second round
MILWAUKEE — Johnny Davis scored 17 points but No. 3 seed Wisconsin fell to 11th-seeded Iowa State, 54-59, in the second round of the NCAA tournament on Sunday at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.
Davis, who shot 9-for-11 from the free throw line, added nine rebounds and 2 steals to his stat line along with his 17 points. Brad Davison also reached double figures with 12 points.
UW shot a season-low 29.8 percent from the floor, including 2-for-22 from 3-point range.
Starting point guard Chucky Hepburn left the game early due to injury in the first half.
