Winter, Elmer and Foxwell reach double-digit scoring in exhibition triumph
MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin men's basketball team topped UW-Parkside, 94-71, on Saturday at the Kohl Center in its first exhibition of the 2026-27 campaign.
Senior Nolan Winter dropped a team high 15 points and 9 rebounds, shooting 7-of-9 from the field. Fellow senior Eian Elmer had 14 points in 24 minutes in his first action as a Badger.
Wisconsin led 52-33 at half and kept the lead for the remainder of the game. The Badgers had 24 points off turnovers compared to Parksides 7.
The Badgers dominated down low from the tip, with 56 points in the paint in comparison to Parkside's 28. Big man Victory Onuetu and sophomore returner Will Garlock were dominating all day long with 10 points in the paint each. Onuetu also added 7 rebounds and 2 blocks.

Wisconsin's guards were also key in the victory as Owen Foxwell posted 10 points and 6 assists, controlling the game from the jump. Zach Kinziger had a stellar showing for Bucky, recording 7 points and 3 steals off the bench.
The Badger bench accounted for over 40% of Wisconsin's points. Trey Autry had his first unofficial Badger points with 7 off the bench. Sharpshooting returner Braeden Carrington had 2 three point field goals and Hayden Jones had 6 points and 5 rebounds in 21 minutes.
Saturday marked the 10th-annual Garding Against Cancer Game, which has now raised almost 11 million dollars.

"It's good for us to get under the lights here and get some experience with this."
Guard Owen Foxwell:
"We're still working to try to put it together as one kind of big collaborative piece. I think you'll see in patches, we look really good from the outside, some inside. Hopefully within the next couple weeks we'll look like a better unit."
