AUSTIN, Texas – When
Kevin Pomeroy is your name, consistency is your game.
Fresh off outstanding performances at the Big Ten championships, Pomeroy stayed in stride at a crowded NCAA Zone D Diving Championships – with a pair of finals appearances.
The Wisconsin junior posted a score of 632.50 points in the platform final Wednesday, good for 10th place overall (632.50). He placed 14th overall in the 3-meter final Tuesday with 661.10 points.
In the 3-meter event, Pomeroy was joined by sophomore
Brayden Schachle, who secured 18th place (537.35), and senior
Andrew Pearce, who placed 26th (254.00).
Schachle paved the way for the Badgers in the 1-meter event Monday, finishing 18th overall (283.15), while Pearce (276.85) and Pomeroy (254.00) placed 21st and 26th, respectively.
On the women's side, senior
Hazel Hertting placed 34th in the 1-meter event Tuesday, as fellow senior
Alex Hafey finished 44th (215.80).
Making her NCAA Zone debut, freshman
Tereza Vithoulkas tallied 218.45 point in the 3-meter event Monday, good for 51st overall.
