OMAHA, Neb. -- After a hard-fought win on the road last night, the No. 12 Badger men's hockey team (5-5-0, 0-2-0-0 Big Ten) dropped the series finale against the No. 20 Omaha Mavericks (5-2-1, 0-0-0-0 NCHC) losing 5-2.

Alex Turcotte scored both goals for Wisconsin, one in each of the first two periods.Â
It was a 1-1 game after one period and Wisconsin played some of its best hockey of the season in the second, but found itself trailing 3-2 after two.
Omaha took over in the third period, with a pair of goals in the first six minutes to put the game away.Â

Notes to know:
- The goalie duo of Daniel Lebedeff and Jack Berry saved a total of 37 shots combined, the second-highest number this season
- Turcotte's two-goal game marked his fourth multi-point game of the season
- Linus Wiessbach's assist to Turcotte marked his 10th assist through 10 games. The sophomore totaled 16 last season

Up next: Wisconsin will be back on home ice next weekend for the first time in three weeks when it welcomes the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (7-0-1, 3-0-1 Big Ten) for UW's second Big Ten series of the season.
