Wisconsin to compete in 2020 Fort Myers Tip-Off

Badgers will travel to Florida for tournament, Nov. 23 and 25, 2020
MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin is headed to Fort Myers, Florida next season to compete in the 2020 Rocket Mortgage by Quicken Loans Fort Myers Tip-Off, as one of four teams announced by the tournament on Wednesday.
The Badgers, along with Butler, Colorado and South Florida, will travel to Southwest Florida to participate in the third-annual tournament on Nov. 23 and 25, 2020.
The event will take place at Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers, Florida, with matchups and game times set to be announced next summer.
2020 Donors to Wisconsin Athletics and 2019-20 Wisconsin Men's Basketball season ticket holders will have an opportunity to purchase travel packages and request tickets for the 2020 Rocket Mortgage Fort Myers Tip-Off in May of 2020. Look for additional information to be communicated out in Spring of 2020 regarding these opportunities.

Wisconsin has played in a non-conference November tournament in 13 of the last 14 years. UW owns a combined record of 23-12 (.657) in November tournaments since 2005. The Badgers have won the 2005 Paradise Jam, the 2011 Chicago Invitational, the 2013 Cancun Challenge and the 2014 Battle 4 Atlantis. UW finished runner-up in the 2016 Maui Invitational and last season's Battle 4 Atlantis.
Together, the four programs set to compete in the 2020 Fort Myers Tip-Off boast a combined 57 NCAA Tournament appearances, including eight Final Four appearances, and 63 conference championships. Since 2010, Butler and Wisconsin have each been to a pair of Final Fours and have competed in the national championship game, while Colorado has won 20 or more games in six of nine seasons. On the heels of a 24-win season capped by the CBI Championship, South Florida is poised to return three of its top scorers by the time the Bulls arrive in Fort Myers in 2020.
