Junior collected pair of shutouts while leading UW to best conference start in school history
MADISON, Wis. – After earning a pair of shutouts last week, Wisconsin women's soccer junior Jordyn Bloomer has been named the Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
Bloomer stopped all four shots she faced in UW's 2-0 win over No. 24 Michigan on Thursday night before she earned a save in UW's 1-0 win at Purdue on Sunday.
The Hartland native has seven shutouts this season, including four in Big Ten Conference play. She is one away from matching her season-best of eight blank sheets.
The Badgers, now ranked No. 12 in the country, will host Minnesota on Friday in a 5 p.m. match at McClimon. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a free scarf.
