MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin women's basketball team returns home to the Kohl Center on Sunday after two straight Big Ten road games to battle it out with the No. 25 Indiana Hoosiers. The game tips off at 2 p.m.
1. LAST TIME OUT: The Badgers never gave up in a tough battle at No. 17 Iowa Monday night. The Badgers fell to the Hawkeyes, 71-53, at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Despite a strong second quarter, the Badgers struggled in the second half. Iowa scored the first four points of the third quarter to lead 38-27 with 7:36 on the clock. Wisconsin went on a 7-2 run to pull within six (40-34) with 5:18 remaining in the third but the Hawkeyes used an 11-0 run to up their lead to 51-34 with 2:34 left in the period, putting the game out of reach.
2. FEELING 22: Freshman Imani Lewis led the Badgers throughout the game, hitting her fifth double-double by the third quarter and continued to dominate. The 6-foot-one forward recorded a game-high, career-high, and team season-high 22 points while adding 11 rebounds.
"Imani had a break-out game and she did it in a variety of ways – made jump shots, she took it hard to the hole, made post moves, she got on the offensive glass, and to be able to do that against this team speaks to the ability that she has."
- Head coach Jonathan Tsipis
3. NATIONAL LEADER: Wisconsin ranks among the nation's top rebounding teams, ranking second in total rebounds with 743 on the season and also ranks in the top at 10, at No. 8, in total blocked shots with 85.
4. HOME COURT ADVANTAGE: UW is back home for two straight Big Ten matchups and is currently 7-1, 1-0 BIG at home. Game day promotions include Sunday Kids' Day, Scout Day, and post-game autographs from your favorite Badgers. Check out all of the game-day promotions here!
5. SCOUTING THE HOOSIERS: On Sunday, No. 25 Indiana took down an undefeated No. 15/17 Michigan State with a late 3-pointer by sophomore guard Jaelynn Penn with 47 seconds remaining to win, 68-64, but most recently, the Hoosiers couldn't overcome a poor shooting night as they fell on the road, 55-50, to Ohio State on Thursday night. The Hoosiers are now 3-1 in the Big Ten.
