MADISON, Wis. – The top-ranked Wisconsin women's hockey team is set to host its first series of 2019 against St. Cloud State this weekend at LaBahn Arena. Puck drop on Friday is slated for 7 p.m. while Saturday's series finale will begin at 6 p.m. Both games are sold out.

1. NO. 1 IN OUR HEARTS AND IN THE RANKINGS: Despite their split at No. 2 Minnesota, the Badgers still hold down the top spot in the USCHO.Com National Poll with 13 of a possible 15 first-place votes. The Badgers also collected all 19 first-place votes in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll. UW's 21 wins this year are the second-most in the NCAA while its winning percentage of .875 paces the country.

UW has faced two of the other top-five teams in the country in No. 2 Minnesota and No. 4 Princeton. Since UW swept Princeton, then unranked, on Oct. 19 and 21, the Tigers have gone on an 18-game unbeaten streak, the longest active streak in the country.

2. THE LA BAHN ADVANTAGE: : The Badgers have thrived at LaBahn Arena with a 66-2-2 record at the rink since the start of the 2015-16 season. All-time at LaBahn, UW holds a 109-12-5 record while holding opponents to an average of 0.88 goals per game. Wisconsin has also been stellar against SCSU at LaBahn with a 14-1 record against the Huskies.

3. POWERING UP: In addition to being the top-ranked team in the country, the Wisconsin women's hockey team capitalizes on opponent's mistakes better than any team in the nation. The Badgers power play is the best in college hockey with 21 power-play goals on 77 chances, good for a .273 clip. UW is a perfect 14-0-0 when scoring a power-play goal this year. Nine different players have scored power-play goals for the Badgers this year, led by Abby Roque, who has four power-play tallies.

4. HISTORY AGAINST THE HUSKIES: The Badgers are a dominant 76-8-2 all-time against SCSU in a series dating back to 1999. UW has won the last 17 matchups against the Huskies, most recently sweeping the WCHA rival in St. Cloud, 8-2 and 3-1, on Dec. 7-8. UW has won 39 of the last 40 matchups against the Huskies.

5. CHASING 100: Three Badgers are on the road to hitting the 100-mark during this weekend's series against St. Cloud State. Senior Annie Pankowski is only two assists away from becoming only the seventh Badger to record 100 career assists. Fellow senior Sam Cogan and junior Abby Roque are also approaching the century-mark for career points. Cogan has 97 career points while Roque enters this weekend's series with 96 points in three season with the Cardinal and White.
