Senior captain awarded second weekly honor
MADISON, Wis - After a one goal and three assist weekend against No. 3 Minnesota, senior Caroline Harvey collected the WCHA Defender of the Week award, the conference announced on Monday.
The senior captain has now earned the distinction twice this season, previously winning on Oct 13.
The Badger collected four points in both games of No. 1 Wisconsin's split series over No. 3 Minnesota, putting up one goal and two assists in UW's 7-2 game two victory. She also put up five blocks in the series - the most for her in a series since playing Ohio State in January of 2025. Harvey's goal this weekend was the 42nd in her career, tying Sis Paulsen for the most goals by a defender in program history.
Harvey has notched six goals and 14 assists across 12 games this season, the most points of any defender in the country, and recently surpassed 150 career points, becoming the first Badger defender to ever do so.
With 157 career points, Harvey is 10 points away from tying Ronda Curtin (Minnesota) for the most points by a defender in WCHA history.
Harvey returns to Wisconsin after the team's bye week, next playing at St. Cloud State on Nov. 14 and 15.
