Happ earns fourth Big Ten Player of the Week honor this season

Senior averaged 27.0 points per game in two contests last week
MADISON, Wis. – For the fourth time in the first five weeks of the season, Wisconsin men's basketball's Ethan Happ took home Big Ten Conference Player of the Week honors, as announced by the league office on Monday. Happ shared the honor with Purdue's Carson Edwards.
It marks Happ's sixth career conference player of the week honor, including back-to-back honors in January of 2017.

- Happ averaged 27.0 ppg in UW's two games last week, scoring 20 points in a win over Rutgers and posting a career-high 34 points in a loss at Marquette
- Happ's 34 points was the most by a UW player since Frank Kaminsky scored a school-record 43 points against North Dakota in 2013
- In his 34-point outing, Happ also posted 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block and 3 steals
- Happ made 16-of-21 shots (76.2%), recording the best FG pct. in the nation this season by a player with at least 20 FGAs. Over the last 20 seasons, only 2 major conference players have had a higher percentage with at least 20 attempts.Â
- Happ has now scored at least 30 points three times in his career, including 30 at Xavier earlier this season and 32 points in 2017 against Rutgers in Madison Square Garden
- Happ is just the third Badger to post at least three games with 30+ points since 1995, matching Devin Harris (3) and Nigel Hayes (3)
- Happ tallied his NCAA-leading eighth double-doubles of the season against MU, totaling 34 points and 11 rebounds
- Happ also currently ranks 7th in UW history in points (1,734), 1st in rebounds (983), 7th in assists (319), 3rd in blocks (126) and 2nd in steals (189)
