IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Wisconsin women's track and field team had lots to smile about during the final day of the Black and Gold Premier as UW won four events on Saturday at the Iowa Recreation Building. 
 
The Badgers started the day going one-two in the shot put. Sophomore Kennedy Blahnik led the way, throwing 49 feet 9 1/4 inches, just two and a quarter inches further than fellow sophomore Banke Oginni.
 
In the pole vault, junior Taylor Amann won with a personal-best of 13-3 ½, which is tied for the second best mark in program history. Freshman Chinne Okoronkwo and junior Jane McCurry helped the Badgers sweep the top three spots, placing second and third with marks of 12-9 ½ and 12-3 ½, respectively. Okoronkwo's clearance is tied for fifth in school history.
 
Ebony McClendon had a huge win in the 60 meters. After running the fastest qualifying time in prelims, the junior won the finals in 7.49 seconds, just four hundredths off her personal record.
 
Senior Emma Reifel ran to a top-five finish in the premier 800 meters. She completed the four lap race in 2:13.49, good for fourth place.
 
In the premier 60 hurdles, freshman Ruth Cesar-Heyman ran a collegiate-best 8.97, placing sixth.  
 
Three Badgers competed in the premier 3000 meters. Sophomore Rachel Fleddermann finished fifth in 10:20.52. Right behind her, in sixth, was junior Lianna Mack, crossing the line in 10:21.10. Senior Colette Richter finished ninth with a time of 10:30.82.
 
Wisconsin ended its day placing third in the premier 4x400 relay. The team of Gabby DesRosiers, McClendon, Brenna Detra and Cynthia Ubah combined to run a 3:44.93.
 
The Badgers head to the Big Apple next to compete in the Armory Track Invitational next Friday and Saturday.
