Peterson leads Badgers again at Missouri

Wisconsin picks up pair of finalists on second day of competition
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Ashley Peterson continued to lead the Wisconsin diving team during the second day of action at the Missouri Diving Invitational, once again qualifying for a final on Friday.
After finishing eighth on the 3-meter springboard the previous day, Peterson had a similar result, placing eighth on the 1-meter board with 271.35 points.
Hazel Hertting joined Peterson in the finals, accumulating 257.50 points to take 10th overall.
Both Peterson and Hertting improved on their scores from the preliminary competition, where Peterson earned 261.40 points to finish seventh and Hertting garnered 254.20 points to place 10th before heading into finals.
Alexandra Hafey and Dana Liva also competed on the 1-meter, posting scores of 246.90 and 238.60 to take 16th and 21st, respectively, during prelims.
Matt Aronson once again led the men on the boards, this time placing 16th with a score of 253.00 on the 3-meter springboard after leading UW on the 1-meter board the previous day.
Max Reynolds was not far behind, placing 17th with a score of 249.30, followed by Kevin Pomeroy, who finished 18th with 247.85 points.
Ethan O'Neill and Andrew Pearce rounded out the Badgers' competitors, placing 21st and 25th overall with scores of 230.85 and 216.30, respectively.
The Badgers will wrap up action at the Missouri Invitational tomorrow as they make their season debuts on the platform. The women's competition is set to begin at 11 a.m. (CT) while men's event will start at 12:45 p.m.
