New Orleans, La. - The Wisconsin men's tennis team fell to No. 55 Tulane 4-0 at the Pepsi City Park Tennis Center Saturday afternoon. The Badgers dropped the opening doubles point and were unable to regain momentum against the ranked Green Wave.
On the No. 1 doubles court, Alexander Kokorev and Jakhongir Jalalov dropped the match to Tulane's Dominik Koepfer and Chi-Shan Jao, 6-2. UW's Lamar Remy and Darius Mackenzie were downed by Alex and Ian Van Cott, 6-1.
On court 2, the freshman duo of Jose Maria Martin De Oliva Carranza and Josef Dodridge held a 5-2 lead but did not finish their match.
In singles competition, the Badgers lost three straight matches, which clinched the victory for the Green Wave.
Kokorev lost his match to No. 9 Koepfer by a score of 6-1, 6-1, while Tulane's Ian Van Cott dispatched Carranza, 6-1, 6-3.
John Zordani was defeated by Constantin Schmitz to close out the match, 6-2, 6-3.
The Badgers will return to action on Sunday at Noon, as they look to bounce back from their dual match against Tulane with a win versus the No. 39 LSU Tigers.
