TEAM NOTES
• With the win, Bo Ryan improved to 323-121 (.727) in 14 seasons at Wisconsin. Ryan also collected his 706th career win, and holds a 706-224 (.759) record during his 31 years of coaching in the college ranks.
• UW is 133-30 (.816) in non-conference games under Ryan, and have won 18 consecutive non-conference games. In addition, the Badgers improved to 83-2 (.976) at the Kohl Center under Ryan against the teams outside of the six major conferences and have won their past 56 against such opponents.
• The Badgers improved to 197-21 (.904) at home under Bo Ryan, including a 100-7 (.934) record in non-conference home tilts. UW is 233-33 (.876) at the Kohl Center.
• UW held Chattanooga to just 45 points after limiting Northern Kentucky to 31 in Friday’s opener. The Badgers held four opponents under 50 points last season.
• UW allowed the Mocs to grab just 21 rebounds, the fewest by a Wisconsin opponent since Eastern Kentucky had 20 boards in an 86-61 win on Dec. 14, 2013.
• Wisconsin’s 89 points were the Badgers’ most since scoring 95 in a 95-70 win over Illinois on Jan. 8, 2014.
• UW scored 52 points in the first half. UW scored 50 points in a half four times in 2013-14.
• The Badgers out-scored Chattanooga 10-0 on fast-break points.
• UW finished with four players in double-figure scoring (Sam Dekker 18; Traevon Jackson 16; Nigel Hayes 15; Frank Kaminsky 15), each of which hit double digits by halftime.
• Wisconsin dished out 20 assists, the team’s most since posting 21 assists in an 87-51 win over Samford on Dec. 29, 2012.
• The Badgers out-rebounded the Mocs 49-21. That +28 rebounding margin since posting a +35 margin (51-16) against Prairie View A&M on Nov. 14, 2010.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Senior Frank Kaminsky tallied a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. He has now had a double-double in each of UW’s first two games, giving him four for his career. He also led UW with four assists for the second consecutive game.
• Junior Sam Dekker led the Badgers with 18 points on 7-for-10 shooting (2-for-4 from 3-point range).
• Sophomore Nigel Hayes posted his first career double-double with 15 points and a career-high 13 rebounds. In fact, he reached that milestone in the first half with 10 points and 10 rebounds in the first 20 minutes. He connected on his first-career 3-pointer and went 6-for-9 at the free throw line.
• Senior Traevon Jackson scored 15 points and dished out three assists with zero turnovers.
• Sophomore Vitto Brown grabbed a career-best nine rebounds to go with six points in 20 minutes off the bench.
