TEAM NOTES
- No. 13 Wisconsin improves to 2-0 for the 10th-consecutive season.
- The Badgers won their 21st-consecutive game at the Kohl Center. That qualifies as the fifth-longest home winning streak in school history and the second-longest active streak in the Big Ten (Ohio State, 22).
- UW is now 154-11 (.933) at home under Bo Ryan, including a mark of 76-5 (.938) against non-conference opponents.
- Wisconsin enjoyed its 140th-consecutive sellout (17,230) Wednesday. The Badgers have sold out every game at the Kohl Center since 2003.
- The Badgers outscored Colgate 32-12 in the paint. Through two games, they now own a 58-26 advantage in the lane this season.
- The Badgers had 11 steals, the team's most since recording 11 vs. Illinois on March 12, 2010.
- UW shot 10-for-23 (43.5 percent) from 3-point range vs. Colgate. UW is now shooting 52.1 percent from long range on the season, connecting on 25-of-48 attempts.
- Wisconsin, which led the Big Ten in scoring defense in each of the last two seasons, is allowing just 36.0 points per game this season.
- Colgate shot just 34.8 (16-for-46) percent from the field. UW's opponents are shooting just 29.2 on the season.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
- Junior Jared Berggren grabbed a career-high 7 rebounds (previous high was 4, accomplished three times). He also added 9 points, 1 block and 1 steal.
- Senior Jordan Taylor finished with 9 points, making 3-of-4 from 3-point range. He also added 4 assists with 1 turnover. Taylor has made 4-of-6 from beyond the arc this year and has posted 11 assists with just 1 turnover.
- Sophomore Ben Brust scored a career-high 17 points. He has now shot 4-for-8 from 3-point range in each of the first two games. He also posted a career-high 4 rebounds and matched his single-game high with 2 assists.
- Junior Ryan Evans tallied a career-best 4 steals, while adding 7 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and one block.
