Head Coach Paula Wilkins had a surprise for the women's soccer team as they came ready to practice Tuesday morning. Instead of their typical practice routine the ladies were greeted with pumpkins, a perfect setting for a pumpkin carving contest.
The team was thrilled and excited to learn they didn't have to practice and the contest was quickly underway. After all the pumpkins had been carved, the team entrusted a random passerby to choose a winner. And after explanations and some serious contemplation he chose the winners... And the winners were Michele Dalton and Krista Lundgren. A pumpkin was even made in honor of coach Wilkins, see all the pictures below.
The Badgers deserved a break after competing for 10 weeks straight. They will host Michigan and Michigan State this weekend and then close out the regular season with three more Big Ten opponents.
