Badgers Back in Top 25
December 31, 2007 | Men's Basketball
The Wisconsin men's basketball team, fresh off its win at ninth-ranked Texas, is back in the national rankings. The Badgers are tied for 24th in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll and 25th in the Associated Press Poll.
UW was ranked earlier in the year, making an appearance at the 20th spot in both polls on Nov. 26. The following week, Wisconsin was 23rd in the Coaches' Poll.
The Badgers are one of three Big Ten teams in the rankings. Michigan State is sixth in both polls while Indiana is 11th in the AP and 12th in the Coaches' Poll. Three of Wisconsin's non-conference opponents are ranked as well: Duke (ninth in AP/eighth in coaches), Marquette (10th/11th) and Texas (14th in both).
