Badgers Return Home in Style
December 02, 2007 | Men's Basketball
The Wisconsin men's basketball team (5-1) returns to the Kohl Center to host Wofford in a non-conference match up Monday night. Tip is set for 8 p.m. CT, with the game being shown live on ESPN2 and broadcast on the Badger Radio Network.
Monday's game will be a little different than others at the Kohl Center. The Badgers will be wearing throwback tribute jerseys (see photo above) honoring the 1941 National Championship season. Wisconsin will honor that team in a pre-game ceremony with Fred
Rehm and Ted Downs, two members of the `41 team, in attendance.
Fans also have the chance to bid on the game-worn uniforms in an mscssid=&dept_id=60"> --> online auction at uwbadgers.com.
Wisconsin enters the contest with a 27-game home win streak, the third longest in the nation. This will be the first meeting between the two schools, while the Badgers own a 5-1 all-time record against Southern Conference opponents.
Wofford travels to Madison with a 3-1 record, its only loss a 67-45 setback at Arkansas in the season opener. In their three wins, however, the Terriers have outscored their opponents by an average of 37.6 points.
