
Badgers Prepare to Take On Panthers

After dropping their second contest of the year to Marquette Saturday, the Badger men 's basketball team (6-2) looks to rebound against another Milwaukee school on Wednesday. The game will be shown on WISC TV in Madison and Time Warner Sports in Milwaukee starting at 7 p.m. Be sure to check uwbadgers.com for Brian Lucas' live courtside blog tonight.

Wisconsin will travel to UW-Milwaukee for the first time since Dec. 27, 2001. Leading the all-time series 23-1, the Badgers have won 14-consecutive games in the series including all eight games played in Milwaukee.
Head coach Bo Ryan spent two seasons as the head coach of the Panthers, from 1999-2001. UWM head coach Rob Jeter was an assistant under Ryan for 10 years at UW-Platteville, UW-Milwaukee and Wisconsin. Jeter also played for Ryan at UW-Platteville from 1987-91.
The Panthers enter the contest with a 3-6 record, while they are 2-3 at home. UWM has lost their last five consecutive games, including a 73-68 overtime decision at Loyola on Dec. 8. The Panthers are led by Torre Johnson (18.7 points per game) and Paige Paulsen (14.0 ppg.).
Following Wednesday's game, the Badger will return home and host the last of their three-game in-state schedule as UW-Green Bay travels to Madison. Saturday's game is set for 5 p.m. CT and will be shown live on the Big Ten Network.
