November 26, 2007 | Men's Basketball
The Badger men's basketball team (5-0) is ranked for the first time this year, entering both the AP Poll and the USA Today/Coaches Poll at No. 20. Previously unranked, the Badgers join Michigan State (No. 13/10) and Indiana (No. 15/15) as the other Big Ten schools in the top 25.
In the AP Poll, North Carolina is ranked No. 1, while UCLA, Memphis, Kansas and Georgetown round out the top five. In the coaches poll, UCLA is voted as the nation 's best with UNC second.
The Badgers have won their first five games by an average of 33.6 points. The 5-0 start is the best in the Bo Ryan era and the best since the 1996-97 team started off the year 6-0.
The Badgers will be facing No. 7 Duke in Durham, N.C. on Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 8 p.m. on ESPN in the ninth-annual Big Ten-ACC Challenge.
After No. 7 Duke, the Badgers will play No. 13/14 Marquette and No. 8 Texas before the end of the December.
