UW junior guard Boo Wade returned to practice on Wednesday after taking an indefinite leave of absence from the men's basketball team. Following are statements from head coach Bo Ryan and Wade on his return.
Head Coach Bo Ryan on Boo Wade's return to practice
'Obviously I'm very pleased to have Boo back practicing with us. After a number of discussions with Boo over the past few weeks, we came to the joint decision that now was the right time for him to re-join the team. We don 't have any timetable as to when he will return to game action. We're just going to bring him along slowly and when we feel he's physically and mentally ready for game action, we'll make that decision as a staff.
'As we've said all along, Boo's absence was for personal reasons and we're not going to get into any of the details as to why he needed a break. Along those same lines, we're not going to get into the reasons for the timing of his return. Boo and I agreed that this was a good time for him to come back and we as a team are happy that he's back with us.'

'I'm excited to get back with my teammates and start practicing. They were very supportive during my time away, as was the coaching staff. I talked to a number of them as well as the coaching staff during that time and I 'd like to thank them for their support.
'I appreciate everyone respecting my privacy as to the reasons for my absence and the timing of my return. I'm just looking forward to the rest of the season and helping my teammates in the upcoming months.'
