Jackie Davenport serves as the Associate Athletic Director for Student Services and Director of Badger Built at the University of Wisconsin. In this role, she leads a comprehensive approach to student-athlete development, centered on preparing student-athletes to win now and beyond.
Under Davenport’s leadership, Badger Built reflects a forward-thinking approach to the future of college athletics, grounded in a clear vision and brought to life through strategic collaboration and strong relationships. The model takes a full life-cycle approach—supporting student-athletes before, during, and after their time at Wisconsin—through individualized development and a connected network of staff, alumni, campus, and community partners. At its core, the philosophy reflects a simple belief: it’s their journey, their way.
Davenport oversees key areas that support this mission, including Academics and Career, Engagement and Community Outreach, and Alumni Relations. She also serves as Sport Administrator for Women’s Soccer, Men’s and Women’s Cross Country, and Men’s and Women’s Track & Field, with secondary oversight of Women’s Hockey.
Prior to her current role, Davenport served as Assistant Athletic Director for Community Relations, where she built and led the Badgers Give Back platform—Wisconsin Athletics’ comprehensive community engagement and philanthropic initiative. Through this work, she mobilized more than 750 student-athletes, staff, and alumni across 23 varsity programs to drive meaningful impact, launching signature initiatives such as Wish Upon a Badger, Badger Brain Breaks, and The Wisconsin Shoe Project.
She also project managed several major departmental initiatives, including the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Title IX, the retirement of legendary Athletic Director Barry Alvarez, and the onboarding of a new Director of Athletics. Earlier in her tenure, Davenport served as Director of Creative beginning in 2019, leading efforts to enhance storytelling and brand engagement across Wisconsin Athletics.
A two-time graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Davenport earned her Master’s degree in Sport Leadership and holds a certificate in Sports Philanthropy. She remains active in her community by mentoring youth and teaching sports, including hockey, baseball, and soccer.
Davenport lives in Madison, Wisconsin, with her husband, Travis, and their four children: Josiah, Berklee, Oaklee, and Theodore.
