Second varsity four rows to first-place finish
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Wisconsin women's rowing team wrapped up two days of competition against top boats from around the conference and the country at the 2026 Big Ten Invitational on Sunday on Lake Natoma.
The second varsity four led the way for the Badgers, finishing in first place in its only race of the day, slightly less than a second ahead of Iowa in second place.Â
The varsity four and second varsity eight also raced well, finishing in second place in their respective Sunday races.Â
A few boats also saw improvements from their day one times, notably the second varsity four, which finished with a time of 7:35.951, nearly four seconds faster than its best time on day one of 7:39.566.
