Brittany Root (maiden name McGowan) currently serves as a strategist for organizational effectiveness, designing processes and programs to advance change management and people transformation toward key results. Root draws from 13 years of experience empowering student-athletes to cultivate essential life skills, guiding them to flourish personally and professionally amidst life’s transitions.
 
Prior to joining Wisconsin Athletics in 2014, Root competed as a swimmer at University of Illinois and earned a master’s degree from Michigan State University. 
 
Brittany and her husband, JJ, have two children, Bradleigh and Sonny.
