2018: Pitched in 30 games, starting 23 … was named to the All-Big Ten Defensive team … went 12-14 in the circle with a 3.30 ERA … struck out a personal-best 10 batters in a one-hit shutout against No. 24 USC Upstate (3/9) … notched her 30th-career win when the Badgers defeated College of Charleston (3/3) 10-8 … pitched 14 complete games and two shutouts … earned the win in UW’s highest ranked win of the season over No. 12 Auburn (2/22) … tied for the third-fastest Badger to reach 200 career strikeouts in Wisconsin’s win over Rutgers (3/25)
2017: Menz had 35 starts in 38 appearances, the second-most starts in a single-season by a Badger pitcher … she collected 24 victories in the circle, the third-most by a UW pitcher and the second-most by a rookie … threw six shutouts, earning a 2.55 ERA and holding opponents to a .234 batting average … became just the second UW freshman to throw a no-hitter during the Badgers’ 10-1 victory at Louisville (3/22) … threw a then-career-high eight strikeouts against Louisiana-Monroe (3/3) … collected her first career win with a 1-0 defeat of UNI (2/10), throwing six strikeouts … threw nine strikeouts in 10.0 innings against Iowa (4/9) … threw a career-high 11.0 innings in the Badgers’ 1-0 victory over Michigan, earning her first career shutout over a ranked opponent (4/21) … dealt 13 strikeouts at the Big Ten Tournament … threw over 7.0 innings six times during her rookie season with a 4-2 record in extras … earned one Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor (2/20) … named to the NFCA All-Great Lakes Region third team and the All-Big Ten second team … named the team’s Defensive Player of the Year
High School: Played four years with Waukee high school for coach Carrie Embree, winning the 2016 Iowa State Championship … finished her career with 75 wins … as a freshman, named third-team all state and first team all conference… named to the all-conference second team her last three years of high school, as well as being selected for the all-state third team and all-district first team as a senior… selected to play in the senior all-star game… also played club softball for Iowa Premier Fastpitch, winning the national championship in 2016 and ending the season as national runner-ups in 2015… between the two tournaments, pitched 50 innings and gave up only two earned runs
