2016-17/ Senior Season
Alternate captain … tied for the most game-winning goals with three … fifth on the team with 28 points (9 goals, 19 assists) … tied for second on the team for assists … had a five-point weekend out east, handing out two assists against St. Lawrence on Oct. 28 then recording the game-winning goal and two helpers against Clarkson on Oct. 29 … had a three-point game against then-No. 2 Denver, netting a power play goal and adding two assists on Nov. 26 … earned the Big Ten Third Star of the Week on Nov. 29 for his weekend in Colorado, as he also scored the game-winning goal against Colorado College on Nov. 25 … scored five goals and six assists in an eight-game scoring streak from Nov. 25 to Jan. 7 … scored the game-winner in UW’s 7-4 victory at Penn State on March 3

2015-16/ Junior Season
Led team with his 22 assists and 33 points, with his assist total ranking eighth in the conference and point total ranking 12th in the Big Ten. Point total set a new career high for a single season ... Put up more assists (19) this year in his first 27 games than his first two seasons combined (17 in 68 games) ... Tied his career-high for goals (11) with a tally in the final game of the season against Penn State in a 5-2 defeat on March 17 ... Recorded a point in 10 of first 11 games ... Saw his career-long eight-game point streak come to an end in a 6-2 loss to Denver on Nov. 21, which was the longest point streak for a UW player during the season ... Had nine points on three goals and six assists in that streak, stretching from Oct. 17-Nov. 20 ... First on team with his 16 career multi-point games, including a team-high eight this season ... Potted two goals against Minnesota on March 11 for his first multi-goal game of the season and his eighth total multi-point game of the year. Led the Badgers with 11 goals and 22 points ... shared team lead with two power-play goals ... scored five of his 11 goals against Minnesota, scoring at least once in each of four meetings with the school ... produced pair of two-goal games in 5-3 win against Ferris State (Nov. 29) and 5-2 loss at Minnesota (Jan. 17) ... scored goal and then shootout winner in 2-2 tie against Minnesota (Jan. 16) ... tied career high with four-game point-scoring streak with two goals and five points (Jan. 30-Feb. 7), putting up points in nine of 11 contests in an overlapping stretch (Jan. 16-Feb. 20)

2013-14/ Freshman Season
Found the back of the net in each of his first two games as a Badger, tallying a goal on Oct. 11 and 12 against Northern Michigan ... he was the first Badger score in his first two games at UW since Kyle Turris in 2007-08 ...his goal on Oct. 12 came with 3:35 left in the final frame and was the difference in a 2-1 UW win ... his eight goals and 14 points led all Wisconsin freshmen

Named 2013 Minnesota Mr. Hockey after 48-goal, 76-point senior season at Benilde-St. Margaret's High School ... as a junior, Besse recorded 93 points (52 goals, 41 assists) in just 31 games, averaging three points per game and making the Associated Press 2012 All-State First Team ... he led his team to a Minnesota state tournament Class AA championship, recording 12 goals and 18 points during the six-game tournament ... scored all five goals in Benilde's 5-1 championship game victory over Hill-Murray, which set the championship game record ... three of those goals came with the Red Knights shorthanded ... prior to his junior season, Beese scored 15 goals and 32 points in 21 games in the Upper Midwest High School Hockey Elite League, finishing third in both categories ... had 33 goals and 53 points as a sophomore ... during the 2009-10 prep season, Besse set a BSM freshman record and paced the state's freshmen with 30 goals, finishing the season with 50 points in 27 games ... one of three BSM players in school history to record back-to-back 50-point seasons ... named an All-North Suburban Conference honoree his first two seasons ... a St. Paul Pioneer Press honorable mention all-state selection as a sophomore.
