Nick Pasquarello, Director of Employer Relations & Corporate Partnerships, leads efforts in sustaining existing relationships and cultivating new relationships with employers and corporate partners in order to secure internship, part-time and full-time employment placements for UW student-athletes.

Handshake

A centralized recruiting platform for University of Wisconsin students and alumni. This platform connects qualified candidates with valuable employment and internship opportunities. Employers are able to utilize Handshake to post job and internship listings, register for career fairs, manage on-campus recruiting, advertise your events, and message students and alumni who meet your qualifications. Students are able to generate and update their profile, apply for open positions, register for different events, on-campus interviews, and career fairs.

Career Fairs

Once a semester, athletics hosts a career fair with the opportunity for student-athletes to network and engage one-on-one with employers, alum, and community members working in a variety of industries.

Employer Site Visits

Experiential learning opportunities where we take student-athletes to visit companies at their offices to learn about the variety of possibilities in different industries.

Externships

Coordinated with employers to provide condensed & impactful internship experiences for small groups of student-athletes over the winter, spring, and summer breaks.

Events & Workshops

Athletics hosts various events throughout the year to introduce student-athletes to different elements of career development including exploration, mock interviews, and career transition. Employers and corporate partners are often invited to participate in these events and engage with student-athletes in various capacities.
