UW travels to Notre Dame for third tournament of season
SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The Badger women's golf team travels to Notre Dame to participate in the Fighting Irish Classic on Saturday and Sunday, Sept 26 and 27.

Last Time Out: UW recently finished in third at the Badger Invitational. Wisconsin shot 7-over-par (293+289+289=871) across 54 holes. Sophomore Grace Slocum came in fourth place, shooting one-under-par and Tammy Wu tied for fifth, making par.

The Course: The Fighting Irish Classic will be hosted by Notre Dame at the wonderful Warren Golf Course. This 71-par, 18-hole stretch of green was designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw. Opening in 2000, the course is ranked the #9 Best College Course in America by GolfWeek.

The Tournament: This will be Wisconsin's third tournament of the season, following the Badger Invitational and the Cougar Classic. The crew will play 36 holes on Saturday and 18 on Sunday. For the first and second round of play, UW will tee off alongside Notre Dame and Purdue, starting at an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
Sunday's tee times will be determined by Saturday's results, but will continue with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.

The Field: At the Fighting Irish Classic, UW will compete against Ball State, Florida Gulf Coast, Furman, High Point, Louisville, Morehead State, North Florida, Notre Dame, Purdue, Stonehill, Toledo, Xavier and Youngstown State.
In the lineup for the Badgers are Grace Slocum, Tammy Wu, Kate Brody, Jillian Bowman and Elyssa Abdullah. Individually competing for UW is Lauren Sammon.
