Solitario and Santos-Ramos named to Big Ten Watch List

Badger duo receive pre-season recognition
MADISON, Wis. — Sophomore swimmer Enzo Solitario and freshman diver Alvaro Santos-Ramos of the Wisconsin men's swim and dive team have been named to the 2026-27 Big Ten Swimmers and Divers to Watch List, the conference announced on Tuesday.
To finish his freshman season, Solitario competed at the 2026 NCAA Championships in the 200 free, 500 free and 200 fly. He earned honors as 2026 All-Big Ten Second Team and 2026 All-Big Ten Freshman Team, as well as All-America Second Team in the 800 free relay at the 2026 Men's NCAA Championships.
Solitario was recently named to the 2026-2027 U.S. National Swim Team following his third-place finish in the men's 200m butterfly at the 2026 Toyota USA Swimming National Championships with a time of 1:54.99.
Santos-Ramos joins the Badgers this season as a freshman diver with previous experience competing for Real Canoe N.C. in Madrid, Spain.
In 2025 he placed fourth in the men's category A platform competition with a score of 397.35 at the 9th Madrid Open Diving competition. Santos-Ramos earned second-place in the 3m Springboard and third-place in Platform at the 2025 Spanish Age-Group Championships.
The Badgers will open their 2026-27 season at home on Friday, Sept. 25 with an intrasquad meet.
