June 23, 2026 | General News
MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin Athletics has launched its summer literacy campaign, Book It With Bucky. This summer, University of Wisconsin student-athletes will visit libraries across the state to inspire young readers, share their favorite stories, and promote a lifelong love for learning.
The Book It With Bucky campaign is made possible with a generous gift from the James and Sue Patterson Foundation. In addition to reading visits, Wisconsin Athletics is distributing Bucky READ posters and donating children's books in collaboration with 2nd & 7, whose nonprofit mission is to promote reading by providing free books and positive role models to kids in need while encouraging young athletes of the community to pay it forward.
A limited number of library visits are available throughout the months of June and July.
Information on how to request a reading visit and access to free downloads can be accessed via our website linked here.
