Volleyball Announces Big Ten Schedule

Badgers host eight, away for nine
MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin volleyball and head coach Kelly Sheffield officially announce the Badgers 2026 Big Ten slate.
This season, the Badgers will face each Big Ten opponent once due to the implementation of the Big Ten Tournament held in Fishers, Ind. Wisconsin will host eight B1G opponents and will be on the road for nine. Note for 2027, the Big Ten schedule will flip where UW will host nine and travel for eight.
Wisconsin will kick off the season with a home and away split, beginning with Oregon on September 24 at the UW Field House and Purdue on the road on September 27. The following weeks marks a similar schedule where Indiana comes to town on October 1, and then the Badgers will head to Minnesota October 4.
Following Minnesota, UW will remain on the road for two more matches hitting up the rest of the Midwest against Illinois (October 8) and Nebraska (October 10).
On Friday, October 16, Wisconsin will host Maryland and then travel to Iowa (October 18) before welcoming a two-match home stint on October 23 and 25 to host Washington and Michigan.
Wisconsin will finish up the latter third of the Big Ten slate against the LA schools, USC (October 30) and UCLA (November 1) out in sunny California before returning to the Field House to host Michigan State and Penn State on November 5 and 8th, respectively. Lastly, the Red and White will travel to Rutgers and Ohio State (November 11 and 13th), before ending the regular season at home on Tuesday, November 17 against Northwestern.
Concluding the regular season, the Big Ten Tournament will be held in Fishers, Ind. at the Fishers Event Center, home of Major League Volleyball's Indy Ignite. The 15-team conference tournament will be held from November 20-25.
Returning to Big Ten play will be the Big Ten | Discover Volleyball Challenge. During the month of October, weekday matches (Wednesday-Friday) count toward the Big Ten | Discover Volleyball Challenge and each team will compete in five designated Challenge matches. The winner will be determined by the highest win total across the five matches. A trophy is awarded to the winning team. The Badgers will take on Indiana, Illinois, Maryland, Washington and USC as part of its Big Ten | Discover Volleyball Challenge opponents.
