Why Wisconsin: When looking for colleges, I wasn't able to find many that fit my needs academically, but still 'felt right.' I stepped onto campus during a tour and had an instant where I felt at home. My dad is an alumnus of UW-Madison, so I've always figured this is where I would end up, as we are on similar career tracks. I also wanted somewhere I knew I would have the opportunity to do athletics at a high level, and the UW gave me that chance.
What Wisconsin rowing means to you: I walked on this year and honestly think it was the best decision I could have made. Rowing has provided me with a makeshift family of great women who are funny, endearing, strong, intelligent and just overall amazing. Everyone here wants to do their best in every aspect of their lives, and I think that's really all I could want to be surrounded by.
