Former Badger returns to foster alumni connections
MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin football announced the hiring of Wisconsin alum Bradie Ewing on Wednesday afternoon. Ewing joins the UW staff as Director of Football Alumni Relations and will spearhead the Badgers' efforts to deepen the connection between the program and the alumni who have built its tradition.
"Bradie is a perfect fit for our alumni relations role," said head coach Luke Fickell. "He understands what makes the University of Wisconsin and Badger football special. He will do an excellent job fostering relationships with our alumni and maintaining the traditions and values that define our program."
Ewing, a former Badger walk-on who was eventually named a team captain as a senior in 2011, returns to the Badger program after spending time on staff as an assistant strength coach in 2015. As the Badgers' starting fullback during his playing days, Ewing helped the Badgers to back-to-back Big Ten titles, including their victory in the inaugural Big Ten Championship Game in 2011.
"I'm honored to return to Wisconsin," said Ewing. "I'm thankful for the opportunity to connect with former players and alumni that helped lay the foundation of Badger football. The culture here is rooted in the pride of being a Badger, and I'm excited to strengthen those ties and keep our alumni connected to the program moving forward."

Ewing was named the Badgers' special teams player of the year in 2011 and helped pave the way for an explosive offense that featured QB Russell Wilson and RBs James White and Montee Ball. Ewing was selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft and played in three NFL seasons before joining the Badgers' strength staff in Madison.
In the alumni relations director role, Ewing will focus on coordinating alumni engagements and serve as a liaison between the football program and its significant base of legendary alumni.
Ewing, a Richland Center native, earned his bachelor's degree from UW in the spring of 2012. He and his wife, Rachel, have four children – Bennett, Booker, Banks and Brahm.
