No. 19 Men’s soccer hosts two matches at McClimon this week

Badgers face Lakeland on Tuesday and Rutgers on Saturday
MADISON, Wis. - The No. 19 Wisconsin men's soccer team (5-2-3, 0-2-3 B1G) plays two contests at McClimon Soccer Complex this week, starting with a match against the Lakeland Muskies (10-2-1, 4-1-1 NACC) on Tuesday night. The Badgers return to conference play Saturday night against Rutgers (5-4-1, 3-1-0 B1G). Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. CT and 7 p.m. CT, respectively.
Here are five things to know before this week's matches.
1 – WASHINGTON RECAP – Wisconsin returned from the West Coast with another point in conference play, battling No. 15 Washington to a scoreless draw. The match capped a challenging five-game stretch against top-15 opponents, during which the Badgers went 0-2-3.
2 – MICHEL STANDS TALL – Sophomore keeper Judewellin Michel earned his fourth shutout of the season, and first career clean sheet over a top-15 opponent last Friday. Michel made five saves to hold Washington scoreless for only the second time this season. His 0.81 goals against average is currently second-best in the Big Ten.
3 – KNOW THE MUSKIES – UW will play its first ever match against Lakeland on Tuesday. The Muskies hold sole possession of first place in the NACC, after opening conference play with a 4-1-1 record. Dunia Wangu is pacing Lakeland's offense with 22 points on 10 goals and two assists.
4 – SCOUTING THE SCARLET KNIGHTS – UW trails 6-8-1 in the all-time series against Rutgers. The teams most recently played last season in Piscataway where the Scarlet Knights earned a 4-2 victory over the Badgers. This season, Rutgers is tied for third in the conference standings after earning victories against No. 11 UCLA, No. 3 Ohio State, and Northwestern. Amer Lukovic leads the team in scoring with eight points (2 goals, 4 assists) and Rafael Ponce de Leon has posted a 1.11 goals against average through 10 games played.
5 – HOW TO FOLLOW – This week's matches will both be played at the Badgers' McClimon Soccer Complex, with admission free to all. The games will stream on B1G+ and live stats can be found on the Badger men's soccer schedule at uwbadgers.com.
