MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin QB Colton Joseph was named Big Ten co-Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. In Wisconsin's 31-3 win over Michigan State on Saturday, Joseph ran for 141 yards, the most ever for a Badger QB in a conference game.
Joseph scored once on the ground, a 47-yard touchdown, and added three passing scores. He finished with 145 passing yards on a 9-for-20 passing clip and became one of four Big Ten quarterbacks since 2020 to throw for three scores and rush for 100+ yards.
Joseph has rushed for 262 yards this season and three scores, while adding 1,132 passing yards and 10 touchdowns through the air. After showing off his explosiveness on the ground against Michigan State, Joseph is one of four Power 4 quarterbacks, and the only in the Big Ten, to post more than 1,000 passing yards and more than 250 rushing yards this season.
Through the Badgers' first five games, Joseph is averaging 226.4 passing yards per game and 52.4 on the ground. The last Big Ten QB to average 200+ passing yards and 50+ rushing yards per game over an entire season was Nebraska's Adrian Martinez in 2018.
