UW moves to 5-3 with loss in Iowa City
IOWA CITY, Iowa — The Wisconsin football team (5-3, 3-2 Big Ten) fell 30-0 to Iowa (6-2, 3-2) on Saturday afternoon at Kinnick Stadium.
In the game's opening drive, Iowa's offense was slowed down by a key redzone stop by DL Charles Perkins on third-and-2 at the Wisconsin 6-yard line, holding the Hawkeyes to just a field goal.
An Iowa touchdown before the end of the first quarter put the Hawkeyes up 10-0.
A promising Wisconsin drive late in the second quarter was highlighted by a 41-yard pass by QB Colton Joseph to WR Jaylon Domingeaux, setting the Badgers up at the Hawkeyes' 8-yard line. Ultimately a turnover on downs left the score unchanged.
Iowa led 20-0 at the break and continued to build its lead in the second half, eventually securing a 30-0 win.
Domingeaux led the Badger offense with 6 catches for 86 yards. On defense, LB Cooper Catalano's 16 stops were a game and season high.
Up Next: Wisconsin will return home to face Rutgers at Camp Randall on Saturday, Nov. 7. Kickoff and TV information will be announced later this weekend. Tickets are available here.
