
Volleyball to Compete in Inaugural AVCA Match Point in Spring 2027

Badgers invited to elite spring tournament
MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin volleyball team will partake in the inaugural AVCA Match Point tournament, partnered with Intersport, in the spring of 2027 that will fill feature an elite eight-team field, announced by the AVCA Thursday afternoon.
The two-day women's volleyball championship event will take place April 10-11, 2027 at Freedom Hall in Louisville. Teams announced so far are Wisconsin, Nebraska, Louisville, Kentucky, Pittsburgh, and Stanford. Two additional programs will be announced at a later date to round out the eight-team field.
AVCA Match Point will feature a bracketed format, with each team playing three matches over the two-day event. Each school will compete twice on April 10 before returning for a third match April 11.
