The Badger men send nine to Federal Way
MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin men's swim team will head to Federal Way, Washington for the 2025 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships on March 26-29, competing in six different individual events, and all five relays.Â
For each day, prelims are set to begin at 12 p.m. (CST) and finals will begin at 8 p.m. (CST).
Competition kicks off at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19 with the 200 medley relay, followed by the 800 freestyle relay. The Badgers will be competing in both of those relays.
On Thursday, individual events begin with the 500 freestyle, 200 IM, 50 freestyle and the 200 free relay. The Badgers have athletes in each event, with Yoav Romano seeded 24th in the 500 freestyle. Chris Morris is seeded 19th in the 200 IM, and Taiko Torepe-Ormsby sits at 14th in the 50 freestyle. The Badgers will also be competing in the 200 freestyle relay.Â
Friday brings the 400 IM, 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke and 400 medley relay. Dominik Mark Torok is seeded 16th in the 400 IM. Catch the Badger 400 medley relay that night as well.Â
In the final day of competition on Saturday, the slate wraps up with the 1650 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, 200 butterfly and 400 freestyle relay. Torepe-Ormsby will also be racing in the 100 freestyle, seeded 26th. In the 200 butterfly, Charlie Jones checks in at 28th. UW will wrap up competition in the 400 freestyle relay.Â
