Wisconsin earns victory in regular season finale

Raimbault, Muns and Green tally goals in 3-0 win
MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin men's soccer team (8-8-0, 4-6-0 Big Ten) bested the Carroll men's soccer team (6-10-2, 3-4-1 CCIW) in its regular season finale. Three Badgers found the back of the net and Luke Shrivers posted a shutout to lead Wisconsin to a 3-0 victory.
How It Happened:
Wisconsin took control of the match early, maintaining possession for the majority of the first 20 minutes and tallying seven shots. Senior Thomas Raimbault got the Badgers on the board first with a tap in goal off a pass from Matthew Zachemski in the 31st minute.

The Badgers doubled their lead a little over a minute later when Bart Muns headed in a corner kick from Raimbault in the 32nd minute.

Wisconsin's Shrivers made a save in the final minute of the first half to keep the score at 2-0 going into the break. The Badgers came out of half with energy, scoring in the 46th minute when Aden Green headed in his first goal of the season. Raimbault passed the corner kick to Zachemski, who sent the ball into the box for Green.

Key Notes:
- Head coach Neil Jones leads UW to its fourth season finishing .500 or better in as many years.
- Sophomore Matthew Zachemski earned two assists during the match, bringing his season point total to 12, which shares the team lead.
