MADISON, Wis. - The No. 10 Wisconsin women's volleyball team will play their final home match of the regular season against Iowa on Sunday, Nov. 23—hosting Senior Day to honor Carter Booth, Mimi Colyer, Alicia Andrew and Jada Cerniglia.
First serve is set for 1:00 p.m. CT and the match will be streamed on B1G+. Senior Day festivities will take place at the conclusion of the match.
The Badgers (22-4, 14-3) are fresh off of one of their strongest wins of the season—taking down No. 11 Purdue at the UW Field House in straight sets a couple of days ago to take over sole possession of second place in the Big Ten.
Setter Charlie Fuerbringer, the reigning Big Ten Setter of the Week, spread the wealth in a dominant showing against the Boilermakers, as five Badgers finished with eight or more kills. The sophomore dished out 38 assists and added 10 digs en route to her 16th career double-double.
Outside hitter Una Vajagic was one of the beneficiaries, as the redshirt sophomore put together her second double-double in as many games—tying a team-high 10 kills, complemented by 11 digs.
From the middle, Booth and Andrew were key contributors on the offensive end—combining for 17 kills while each hitting .500 or better by the match's conclusion.
Sunday's battle will be the second time that Wisconsin and the Hawkeyes have met up this season, as the Badgers earned a sweep over Iowa in their first conference road match. Colyer led the way with 17 kills, as she has finished with 10 or more in every game except for one this season.
UW has secured nine-straight victories against the Hawkeyes dating back to 2018. In those nine triumphs, the Badgers have not dropped a set to Iowa. Wisconsin has won 12 matches in a row at the UW Field House versus the Hawkeyes, last losing in 2009.
The Badgers will look to maintain their offensive momentum on Sunday as well, where they enter with the second-highest hitting percentage in the country at .308.
UW will take on their final few road matches to finish the regular season, first battling with Northwestern on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 7:00 p.m. CT on B1G+. They will head north for the second edition of the Border Battle on Friday, Nov. 28, as they are set to face-off versus No. 19 Minnesota at 8:00 p.m. CT on Big Ten Network.
