Head Coach Mike Hastings
On Gavin Morrissey's overtime goal
"He didn't dust that off. It got out of his forehand, there wasn't a stick handle, and he put it where momma hides the cookie jar. It was a great shot on the short side of a guy that's six feet plus. You need a good player to make a big-time play, and I thought he did."
On Logan Hensler
"You want a guy not to be afraid to make a mistake, and yes, it went off his tape into a situation that wasn't perfect, and then he went right back in after it. I want him to have a short memory. He'll learn from things that he doesn't do well, but I can't teach what he did tonight on that goal."
Sophomore forward Gavin Morrissey
On tonight's game
"Big Ten hockey, it's pretty fine margins. That is why we preach not getting too high and not getting too low, because at the end of the day, it's a close game. It could have gone either way. We'll take the two points, but we know there is a lot left on the table."
Sophomore defenseman Logan Hensler
On the team's mentality
"We have a really great locker room and a great group of captains. They keep us high. We stuck with it, and we got the win."
