1. LAST TIME OUT
The Badgers faced a ranked opponent in the No. 11 St. Cloud State Huskies this past weekend at LaBahn Arena in Madison. The Badgers won Saturday's matchup 5-2 and walked out of game two on Sunday with a 2-2 tie and shootout win to earn the majority of available WCHA points.

Wisconsin special teams shined during the series, with a power-play and shorthanded goal on Saturday and two power-play goals on Sunday. Lacey Eden scored two goals and had an assist including a shorthanded empty-net goal on Saturday. Casey O'Brien put together a three-point series performance with one goal and two assists.

Wisconsin extended their 14-game undefeated streak and played their second overtime and shootout game of the season, including their first shootout win.

2. POWER PLAY PRESSURE
Wisconsin has scored a power-play goal in each of their last six games. Out of their 28 games this season, Wisconsin has scored a power-play goal in all but six games.

The team's 31 power-play goals and 0.403 power-play percentage lead the country. Lacey Eden, Laila Edwards and Caroline Harvey all lead the team with six power-play goals this year, which ties for first in the WCHA and third-best in the NCAA.

The Badgers scored three power-play goals once this season against St. Thomas on January 18, 2025, and have notched two power-play goals in seven games this season.

3. AGAINST UMD

UW leads the all-time series against UMD 62-37-15 and boasts an impressive 27-18-7 record in Duluth.

The Badgers are currently on a four-game win streak against the Bulldogs. Their best streak was a seven-game win-streak between 2018-2020.

4. HOME SWEET HOME

The Badgers currently lead the WCHA with 60 points and have won .909 percent of all conference points available through their 22 conference games.

With six regular season WCHA games left for Wisconsin this season, they've clinched home ice in the first round of the WCHA playoffs. The best-of-three first round will take place on February 28, March 1 and March 2, should a third game be necessary.

Wisconsin's opponent will be determined by the teams' final placement in the WCHA standings as they battle for their final spots in the league table.

5. MINNESOTA MAGIC

The weekend series in Duluth will be Wisconsin's fifth road series in Minnesota this season. Wisconsin has won all eight games they've played in the Land of 10,000 Lakes so far this seaosn.

The Badgers haven't lost a game in the state of Minnesota since Dec. 8, 2023, when they fell 5-3 to the Golden Gophers in the Twin Cities. That means Wisconsin has an active 16-game (including postseason games) win streak in the North Star state as they head to Duluth this weekend.

Wisconsin's three remaining series are all against Minnesota opponents. However, the Minnesota Golden Gophers will make the trip to Madison Feb. 8 and 9 after the Badgers swept them in Minneapolis earlier this season. Wisconsin will return to Minnesota to finish out the season against Bemidji State on Feb. 21 and 22.

Should the Badgers win the first round of the WCHA playoffs, they'll head back to Duluth for the WCHA Final FaceOff.
