Sophomore helps Team USA’s 4+ crew to a second-place finish
ST. CATHARINES, Canada – After competing for Team USA at the 2024 Under 23 World Rowing Championships from Aug. 18-25, rising sophomore Olivia Meskan returns home with a silver medal.
Rowing in seat two, Meskan and Team USA's women's coxed four crew took second place in the finals with a time of 7:04.83.
The 2000-meter race involved four boats, with New Zealand coming in first in a time of 7:03.00. Italy and Canada finished in third and fourth place, respectively.
Prior to racing in the finals, Meskan and Team USA placed first in the 4+ preliminary race against the same four teams with a time of 7:30.49.
