1. LAST TIME OUT: UW is coming off an empathic 4-2 win over No. 3 Colgate to earn a spot in the 2023 NCAA Women's Frozen Four. The Badgers outshot the Raiders 35-15 and found goals from Nicole LaMantia, Casey O'Brien, Vivian Jungels and Laila Edwards to earn their first-ever win against Colgate. Cami Kronish made 13 stops in net to collect her 19th win of the season.

2. BACK IN THE FROZEN FOUR: The Badgers are making their 14th appearance in the NCAA Women's Frozen Four, which ranks second in NCAA history behind only Minnesota's 15 appearances. The Badgers have played in eight of the last nine NCAA Women's Frozen Fours dating back to the 2014 edition.
3. WE HAVE HISTORY: Arguably the best rivalry in women's college hockey, the two Border Battle rivals have combined to win 12 NCAA championships as each program has captured six NCAA crowns. The Badgers and Golden Gophers are no stranger to meeting each other in the NCAA tournament as this marks the seventh time since 2012 that UW and UM have met in the dance. The Badgers have won the last two meetings against the Gophers in the NCAA tournament, including an unforgettable 2-0 win in the 2019 NCAA Championship, securing Wisconsin's fifth national championship.
4. AGAINST MINNESOTA: The Badgers are 2-1-2 against the Golden Gophers this season, taking four of a possible six points at LaBahn Arena in November before collecting five points against Minnesota at Ridder Arena in February. The Gophers won the most recent meeting, a 4-2 contest in the semifinals of the 2023 Kwik Trip WCHA Final Faceoff. Jesse Compher has a team-best six points against the Golden Gophers this season while Kirsten Simms, Casey O'Brien and Lacey Eden each have five points.

5. POWERING UP: The Badgers power play has started to click as of late, converting six of its 18 chances during postseason games, including going 3-3 in the Badgers' 9-1 win over LIU last Thursday. UW this season is 15-1 when scoring a power-play goal with its only loss while scoring a power-play goal coming against Minnesota in the semifinal round of the 2023 Kwik Trip WCHA Final Faceoff.
