The Huskies struck first before Compher answered back with her 10th goal of the season to tie things up.Â

Head Coach Mark Johnson
On bouncing back from Friday's loss:
"Quick response, we're back at it at 3 o'clock the next day. I thought they did a real good job of what we needed to do today and got a win. That was the most important thing and now we have three or four days to prepare for Minnesota before we go up there."
On today's strengths:
"I thought we came out and started at a pretty good pace, and unfortunately got behind one. We came back, and
Jesse Compher made an adjustment and played really well. She got a goal and a couple assists. Laila, I thought, played one of her strongest games all season. It was a good response. Made it interesting at the end, but got to the finish line."
Senior Jesse Compher
On switching up the lines:
"I think the adjustment worked out well for us. It's been fun playing with
Britta Curl all year but the first game playing with
Laila Edwards was fun. We got three big bodies going to the net, attacking at the corners and I think that we worked well together today and it's going to be fun to see what we can do the rest of the year."
Up Next: The Badgers head to Minnesota on their final road trip of the regular season to face the Golden Gophers in a Friday and Saturday showdown. Puck drop for Friday is set for 6 p.m. while the series finale is set for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Fans can watch Friday's game on B1G+ or listen live to Fox Sports 1070. Saturday's game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.Â
